Keep Growing (Intro)
Keep Going and Keep Growing
Launching a project is thrilling and exciting. Keeping up every day when life gets in the way while dealing with the reality of a business can be daunting. But you can do this and by keeping yourself on your toes, you'll find wonderful ways to keep going and... growing!
Here's how to play the long game and be successful for years.
Once you're live, your job is to SHOW UP.
Watch the next below and read the copy below for more specific tips and tools on how to show up for your business (and yourself) even on slower days and in the very beginning.
Consider that you have a new job. Just like for any other job, showing up is everything. Some days you kill it and some days you move slower and that's okay. But if you don't show up, you get fired. That's just as true when you're your own boss. If you don't show up, your audience will notice (they'll forget about you and follow active people, visit updated websites etc.)
Work on your store every day. Even on days without clients, there is always something to do (things that will bring those clients in!). Check the SEO on your blog posts, make sure there are no plugins to update, prepare social media content for future posts. You'll never run out of things to do.
Here are a few every day task that should not be neglected:
- Create social media assets for days to come
- Think of creative ways to grow your newsletter
- Share spread tutorials on TikTok
- Read books on Tarot to improve your skills
- Create content (blog posts, video posts) to maximize your online presence
- Respond to any comments, requests, emails from clients and followers
Expansion Feels Great
Fee free to expand your offers and take over multiple platforms. You don't need to be perfect at everything and don't let # of views, comments or visits slow you down. Just keep showing up. Consistency will work miracles on social media platforms and you don't need millions of followers to make money! Far from that! Exhausting yourself creating free content can sometimes be counter productive, so always follow your instincts and do things your own way.
Do what feels inspiring. If you're not a YouTuber, you don't need to be. I personally do very little on Youtube. But sometimes I feel inspired to create something for that platform. It doesn't matter because I know I don't need to be the Queen of every single platform to succeed. My website is highly performant, I have tons of followers on Pinterest (which I NEVER even thought about in my strategy but I kept creating content I was excited about and it just happened) and I got pretty comfortable on TikTok. As long as it feels inspiring, I'm doing it.
If you have a more corporate mindset, you might feel the need to cover all platforms perfectly. That's fine, if you that's the way YOU work.
But don't feel like this will be the condition to your success. Success comes from dedication and passion. Direct your energy based on these two signals and you're guaranteed to do the right thing.
Once your business is running, think of ways to keep building up if that feels right to you. Is it time to monetize your Youtube videos with ads? Is it time to get verified on Instagram? Is it time to launch your merch? Is it time to write a book?
Keep yourself on your toes and excited about your business. After all, running a Tarot Business is a great way to create a solid source of income for yourself but it is also a source of joy and excitement. Never lose sight of that!
